Princeton University/The University of Tokyo Strategic Partnership: Teaching and Research Collaboration 2025

Since the 2013 academic year, the University of Tokyo and Princeton University have been conducting joint research and educational projects under the Memorandum on Strategic Partnership signed in January 2013.
In this initiative, both institutions jointly provide funding support for collaborative research and educational projects conducted by researchers from the University of Tokyo and Princeton University. Following the 2024 call for proposals, this marks the 12th round of call for projects. The program offers support for a maximum of three years.
Applications were accepted between March 11 and May 15 for the 2025 round, which resulted in submission of 20 proposals. After careful review by the Joint Governance Committee of both institutions, the following four projects were selected. Each of the selected projects is scheduled to begin this fall.
*Princeton University, established in 1746, is one of the eight Ivy League universities.
