Individual consultations are available only for UTokyo students, and appointments are required. 
Students can use our services regardless of campus you belong to. However, depending on the content of your inquiries/consultation, we may refer you to other services on each campus.

Please visit Room 333, 3F, 2nd Administration Building, Hongo Campus.
*Counseling and individual consultations are available by appointment only. We are unable to offer walk-in counseling and individual consultations.
*We do not provide information or consultation regarding study abroad programs or exchange programs.
*Information is not provided to persons outside the university (including applicants for admission).
B) Online (Zoom) 14:00-17:00 Weekdays
Available for inquiries and consultations of up to about 20 minutes. Please check the calendar below and feel free to use this service. University account is required to use the service.

【Privacy Policy of ISSR】
International Student Support Room at the Center for Global Education (hereinafter referred to as ISSR) offers services with a strict confidentiality policy. Any individual information, including your use of our services and/or participation in programs/events conducted by ISSR, will not be released to other parties without the consent of the person concerned.
However, information about ISSR users (information held by ISSR) may be used for the purpose of providing education and research in improving our services for international students, and of promoting the internationalization of the university. If you have questions regarding the use of the information possessed by ISSR, please do not hesitate to contact us.

1. Use of Personal Information at ISSR
Personal information obtained through consultation and support (information possessed by ISSR) is strictly managed in accordance with relevant laws/regulations in Japan. The information is also used for the following purposes:
(1) For regular support services
Information possessed by ISSR will be used for providing support to ISSR users. However, in cases of grave emergency, or when disclosure of information is required by law, ISSR may need to compromise confidentiality and disclose appropriate information to requesting parties, though efforts will be made to gain consent from the users in question beforehand.
(2) For the improvement of support services and internationalization of the campus community
Data held by ISSR may be used for improving the quality of our support services and for internationalizing the university campus community. All data will be anonymized so that individual users will not be identified.
(3) For research on support for international students
Data possessed by ISSR may be used in research for improving the quality of support for international students. Results from such research may be presented at academic conferences or published in academic journals. All data will be anonymized so that individual users will not be identified.

2. Voluntary Consent
Please inform ISSR staff if you do not agree to the use of your information for the purposes above. Even if you do not agree to the academic and educational use of personal information held by ISSR, you will not be subject to any disadvantage in using ISSR services.
Furthermore, even if you give consent, you may withdraw the consent at a later date. However, if you have used ISSR services anonymously and did not provide any identifying information, we will not be able to respond to your request to withdraw your consent.

3. Miscellaneous
Research using information possessed by ISSR will be reviewed and approved by the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Tokyo. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Please also contact us if you have questions about the outcomes and results from individual research projects. However, please understand that we will not be able to provide explanations beyond those derived from statistical analyses.
