International students and researchers often face difficulties finding housing in Japan due to high initial costs such as shikikin (refundable deposit), reikin (non-refundable key money), and the requirement for a guarantor. To address these challenges, the University of Tokyo provides a limited number of rooms at Kashiwa-no-ha International Village (14th floor of the Mitsui Garden Hotel, located in front of Kashiwanoha-campus Station) for international students and researchers affiliated with the Kashiwa Campus, regardless of their school or program. These rooms are particularly intended for those who need short-term accommodation (less than one year).
*GSFS separately provides additional rooms exclusively for international students and researchers affiliated with GSFS.*
